Easter bunny

This cute, little bunny it's the perfect item to make around during Easter time.

The bunny pattern is very easy to follow.

The pattern is written in US terminology.

Pattern

You will need:

  • Cotton yarn: pink color and the red for making the nose
  • Hook: according to yarn specifications; I used a 2.5mm hook
  • Safety eyes: size according to materials used; I used 12mm ones
  • Filling: for stuffing the body
  • Needle: for sewing the parts

Abbreviations:

  • mc - magic circle
  • sc - single crochet
  • inc - increase (two single crochet in the same stitch)
  • dec - decrease (single crochet two stitches together)
  • (..) - represents the sequence that will repeat
  • x and number - the number of times to repeat a sequence
  • [..] - the number between square brackets is the number of loops at the end of row

Body:

Row 1: 6 sc in magic circle - [6]

Row 2: (inc) x6 - [12]

Row 3: sc - [12]

Row 4: (sc, inc) x6 - [18]

Row 5: (2 sc, inc) x6 - [24]

Row 6: sc - [24]

Row 7: (3 sc, inc) x6 - [30]

Row 8: sc - [30]

Row 9: (4 sc, inc) x6 - [36]

Row 10-15: sc - [36]

Insert eyes between rows 9 and 10.

Row 16: (4 sc, dec) x6 - [30]

Row 17: (3 sc, dec) x6 - [24]

Row 18: (2 sc, dec) x6 - [18]

Row 19: (1 sc, dec) x6 - [12]

Fill the body.

Row 20: (dec) x6 - [6]

Sew the ending loops and weave in ends.

Sew the nose between rows 11 and 12.

Ears (make two):

Row 1: 6 sc in magic circle - [6]

Row 2: (inc) x6 - [12]

Row 3: sc - [12]

Row 4: (3 sc, inc) x3 - [15]

Row 5: sc - [15]

Row 6: (5 sc, dec) x2, sc - [13]

Row 7: sc - [13]

Row 8: (4 sc, dec) x2, sc - [11]

Row 9: sc - [11]

Row 10: (3 sc, dec) x2, sc - [9]

Row 11: sc - [9]

Row 12: (2 sc, dec) x2, sc - [7]

Flaten and make 3 sc across.

Cut the yarn leaving a long tail for sewing.

Sew the ears on top of the body, between rows 4 and 5 on the back part.

Feet (make two):

Row 1: 6 sc in magic circle - [6]

Row 2: (inc) x6 - [12]

Row 3-4: sc - [12]

Row 5: (4 sc, dec) x2 - [10]

Row 6-7: sc - [10]

Row 8: (3 sc, dec) x2 - [8]

Row 9: (2 sc, dec) x2 - [6]

Cut the yarn leaving a long tail for sewing.

Sew the feet close together on the bottom of the body.
